What Power Flushing Does

Power flushing forces clean water and chemical inhibitor through the heating system at high velocity, dislodging and removing the sludge, dirt and limescale that accumulate in pipework and radiators over time. The result is restored circulation, more even heat across all radiators and a system that your boiler doesn't have to work as hard to maintain.

How We Carry Out a Flush

We use specialist flushing equipment connected directly to the heating circuit, and cover all makes of gas or oil central heating systems. After the flush, an inhibitor is added to the system to slow future corrosion and sludge build-up — extending the benefit of the work.

If a flush won't make a meaningful difference, we'll tell you that before raising a quote. Get in touch to book an assessment.

Signs your system may need a power flush

  • Some radiators barely heating up at all

Blockages in pipework can cut off flow to individual radiators entirely, leaving rooms cold while others overheat.

  • System taking a long time to heat up

Restricted circulation from sludge and scale forces the boiler to run longer to reach the set temperature, which wastes energy and increases wear.

  • Getting a new boiler installed

A power flush before a new boiler installation protects the new appliance and can be a requirement for the manufacturer's warranty.
