Heat pumps, fitted by a local family team

An air-to-water heat pump takes warmth from the outside air and moves it into your home through your heating system, replacing your gas or oil boiler.

Every home is different. Insulation and your existing heating decide how well a heat pump works, so we survey both before we quote, and every customer gets a full written report on the house and how the system should perform.

Why homeowners choose DDV

  • SEAI registered installer

SEAI registration means we can install grant-eligible heat pumps and process your SEAI grant as part of the job.

  • Fits Viessmann and Grant heat pumps

We install Viessmann and Grant heat pumps, chosen for their quality and the availability of parts in Ireland.

  • Written quote, no hidden costs

Quotes are free and in writing; the quoted price is the price unless something unexpected is found during the job, and that is always discussed first.

  • 12-month workmanship warranty

Every installation carries a 12-month warranty on our work, plus a 5-year warranty on the heat pump. We register it for you. It needs a service every year to stay valid.

Often less than a new gas boiler
After grants, most three-bed semis come to about €2,000 to €3,000. A new gas boiler costs around €3,500 fitted.
350% to 500% efficient
A heat pump, against about 90% for an oil or gas boiler. At DDV we guarantee our systems achieve at least 350%.
A whole new heating system
Not just a boiler swap, with a 5-year warranty on the heat pump that we register for you.

"Superb service from David (Junior), went out of his way to do an excellent job replacing our boiler in a difficult situation made worse by the poor job done by the previous installer. Impressive technical knowledge and skill and good communication. Recommended. Review well out of date due to Google's oversensitive policies"

"Really top class service and a lovely bloke, I phoned him, he advised me to text him my details and then arranged a day and time to visit, which he did, this might sound basic but a lot of lads won't even do this! On arrival, it was very clear and evident that he knew his stuff, his knowledge and experience were clear. He not only completely fixed my issues ( boiler problem and 2 rads) he actually spotted an existing leak and fixed this. I'd 100% recommend him and il deffo be using him again."

Why switch to a heat pump

  • 3.5–5×

The heat for the electricity it uses

For every unit of electricity it uses, a heat pump gives you three and a half to five units of heat.

  • No more oil deliveries

No tank to fill, no delivery to book and no kerosene price shocks.

  • Steady warmth in every room

It runs gently and evenly, so rooms stay at a steady temperature instead of swinging between hot and cold.

  • Far lower carbon emissions

For each unit of heat, a heat pump gives off about a fifth of the CO₂ of an oil boiler, and it falls further as more of Ireland’s electricity comes from renewables.

  • A better BER

One of the biggest single upgrades to your home’s energy rating. Running costs are lowest in a well-insulated home, and the survey tells you where yours stands.
